Hari ini kami sambung belajar tajuk Evaluation and Testing.



What to evaluate?
It depends on the stage of a project ( tahap mana projek dibangunkan)
Di awal pembangunan – formatif... bila semua dah siap.. baru buat sumatif

Why we need evaluate multimedia courseware?
-          Ensure functionality (effectiveness) (button, link,)
o   Assess (proof) that a certain task can be performed
-          Ensure performance (efficiency)
o   Assess (proof) that a certain task can be performed given specific limitations (e.g. time, resources)
-          Customer / user acceptance – apa pengguna rasa bila guna perisian tersebut
o   What is the effect on the user
o   Are the expectations met
-          Identify problems
o   For specific tasks, users
-          Improve development life cycle
-          Secure the investment (don’t develop a product that can only be used by fraction of the target group – or not at all)
-          Evaluating multimedia courseware means determining whether or not they are good

                Divided into six parts – content, interactivity, navigation, feedback, screen design and students’ preference

-          The content is reliable
-          Correct use of grammer
-          Current and error –free information
-          Concept and vocabulary relevant to learners’ abilities
-          Information relevant to age group curriculam
-          Information of sufficient scope and depth
-          Logical progression of topics
-          Variety of activities, with options for increasing complexity
-          The content is structured in a clear and understanable manner
-          The structure allows learners to move around freely in different units
-          The structure of the multimedia courseware

-          The presentation of information can captivate the attention of students

-          The use of text follows the principles of readability (warna, saiz)
-          The colour of the text follows the principles of readability
-          The number of colours in each screen is no more than six
-          There is consisency in the functional use of colours
-          The quality of the text, images, graphics and video is good
-          Presented pictures are relevant to the information included in the text
-          The use of graphics meaningfully support the text provided
-          A high contrast between graphics and  background is retained

-          I prefer to learn mathematics with textbooks than via an interactive multimedia courseware
-          I prefer to learn mathematics using an interactive multimedia courseware with a teacher acting as a facilitator
-          Students should learn mathematics with textbooks without an interactivite multimedia courseware
